Success criterion
Conformance level
Enhanced accessibility — beyond the legal minimum.
What it means
This extends 3.3.4 to all form submissions, not just those with legal, financial, or data consequences. At Level AAA, every form should allow users to review and correct their input before final submission.
This is a high bar that benefits users with cognitive disabilities, those who make mistakes easily, and anyone who wants to double-check their input.
In practice
Add a review step to all forms, not just high-stakes ones.
Provide clear editing mechanisms on the review page so users can return to and correct any section.
Save form progress so users can return later without losing their work.
Common failures
- Simple contact form that submits immediately on click with no review step
AXS Audit
